Urban Barn’s Blanket The Country Campaign Supports HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre This October | Click to learn more

HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre is pleased to be the Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge community partner for Urban Barn’s annual Blanket the Country charitable initiative, running throughout the month of October 2026.

Urban Barn’s Blanket the Country campaign brings its customers and local communities together to support organizations making a difference close to home. This year, Urban Barn’s Kitchener-Waterloo (The Boardwalk) and Cambridge locations are proud to support HopeSpring, helping provide free cancer support programs and services to individuals and families in our community.

Supporting People Affected by Cancer, Close to Home

For more than 30 years, HopeSpring has been a source of support, connection and hope for people affected by cancer throughout Waterloo Region and surrounding communities.

Through the generosity of community partners like Urban Barn and its customers, HopeSpring is able to continue offering free programs and services designed to support the emotional, physical and spiritual well-being of individuals affected by cancer.

HopeSpring supports thousands of people each year through services that include counselling, exercise and wellness programs, relaxation programs, educational resources, wigs, post-mastectomy camisoles and opportunities for connection with others who understand the cancer experience.

Our message is simple: Every Cancer. Every Stage. Everyone.

“Cancer can affect every part of a person’s life, not just their physical health,” says a spokesperson for HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre. “Support from community partners like Urban Barn helps ensure that people affected by cancer and their loved ones can access compassionate, practical and emotional support when they need it most. We are incredibly grateful to Urban Barn and its customers for helping bring more hope to our community.”

How the Campaign Works

Throughout October 2026, customers at Urban Barn’s Cambridge location can make a suggested $5 donation at checkout, both in-store and online. Urban Barn will match customer contributions, helping to double the impact of each donation.

For customers who make a donation, a thank-you offer of 20% off regularly priced décor with a minimum $100 purchase is available for qualifying purchases from November 1–23, 2026.

While October serves as Urban Barn’s month of giving, customers will also have the opportunity to continue supporting participating community organizations throughout the year.

Your Support Helps HopeSpring

Every contribution to Blanket the Country helps HopeSpring continue providing programs and resources at no cost to those affected by cancer.

As a community-based charitable organization, HopeSpring relies on the generosity of donors, community partners and volunteers to sustain its services. Donations help ensure that individuals and families do not have to navigate the cancer experience alone.

Together, we can inspire, empower and bring hope to people affected by cancer in our community.

We invite the Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge communities to visit Urban Barn throughout October and consider making a donation in support of HopeSpring.
