Women's Morning Support Group
Navigating the emotional and physical challenges of cancer can be overwhelming. This morning support group provides a safe space for women to discuss the unique aspects of a cancer diagnosis, including coping mechanisms, treatment side effects, and its impact on family and social dynamics. Led by Tammy, a HopeSpring facilitator for nearly 20 years, the group fosters connection, understanding, and resilience.
Women's Evening Support Group with Michaela
Cancer presents unique emotional and physical challenges for women. This evening support group offers a safe space to talk about coping strategies, treatment side effects, and how cancer affects family and social dynamics. Led by Michaela, the group provides connection, understanding, and resilience in a supportive environment.
Caregiver's Support Group
Cancer affects not only the diagnosed individual but also those who support and care for them. Our Caregiver Support Group acknowledges the often-overlooked challenges faced by caregivers—emotional strain, role adjustments, and balancing self-care. This group offers a space for sharing experiences, learning coping strategies, and accessing resources crucial for maintaining caregiver wellbeing.
Teen Self-Care & Support Group with Michaela & Sharyn-Ruth
At HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre, our teen self-care and support group is a safe and welcoming space for youth ages 12 to 18 that have been impacted by cancer, whether it’s your own diagnosis or someone close to you.
This group is a place where you can:
- talk openly (only if you want to, no pressure)
- connect with other teens who understand what you are going through
- learn simple tools to manage stress and big emotions
- build confidence and healthy coping skills
- take a break from the heavy stuff and just be yourself
Each session includes relaxed conversations and practical self-care strategies you can use in everyday life – at home, at school, or with friends
You’re not alone. This group is here to help you feel supported, understood and stronger one step at a time.
Prostate Cancer Support Group Waterloo-Wellington
The Prostate Support Group is run by prostate cancer survivors who are looking to share their knowledge and support with members either currently going through prostate cancer or are in remission but are still dealing with the side effects that come with the disease/treatment.
