Nurturing Hearts Through Cancer Care Counselling
Living with cancer whether you’re newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, supporting a loved one, or grappling with emotional aftermath can feel overwhelming. At HopeSpring, we believe everyone deserves compassionate, accessible care. That’s precisely why our Cancer Care Counselling Program exists.
Why Cancer Care Counselling Matters
Emotional and Practical Support
A cancer diagnosis can uproot not just physical health, but emotional well-being too. Our professionally guided counselling provides a safe space to process grief, anxiety, and uncertainty—while also equipping you and your loved ones with practical tools to navigate system complexities.
For Individuals and Families—You’re Not Alone
Whether you’re seeking one-on-one sessions, couples counselling, family therapy, or support for children with parents affected by cancer, our services are tailored to meet diverse needs. Available via phone or Zoom, this means you can access care wherever you are, without barriers.
Free, Inclusive, and No Referral Required
There’s no need for a referral from a healthcare provider—cancer patients, caregivers, families, friends, and children are all welcome. Best of all? These sessions are offered at no cost, thanks to HopeSpring’s community partner, Interfaith Counselling Centre.
Flexible Access with Additional Peer Support
To begin, register and book your appointment—either via our request form, email to volunteer@hopespring.ca, or voicemail at 519-742-4673. While wait times may vary, you’re not alone—our peer and group supporters can hold you during the interim.
