Artline Salon is a salon based out of Kitchener, Ontario that offers a wide range of hair services that includes haircut/styling, colouring, hair extensions, and more.

AskEllyn is a conversational, online Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform for those on their breast cancer journey and their loved ones. The AI platform offers their users wisdom, support and hope during their breast cancer journey.

The WOH program provides people living with cancer rides to and from their cancer treatment appointments. Dedicated volunteer drivers donate their time and use their own (or Society owned) vehicles to help people living with cancer get to the hospital or cancer centre.

The Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHA WW) is a non-profit organization, providing a full care system for those with mental health, substance-use, or developmental needs.

Here 24/7 is an online crisis, support centre that provides addictions, mental health and crisis services provided by 11 partner agencies across Waterloo – Wellington.

Hospice Waterloo Region provides a wide variety of programs and services in the Waterloo Community and at the Gies Family Centre. These programs and services are designed to help and support individuals who are living with a life-threatening illness, their families, and their care providers. Hospice also has programs for the recently bereaved.

Hospice Wellington provides services to support those individuals of Guelph and Wellington County who are living with a life-limiting illness or experiencing grief and bereavement. These programs extend to the families and caregivers supporting those diagnosed with a life-limiting illness.

Innisfree Hospice is a hospice located in Kitchener, Ontario that offers palliative care and support for the Kitchener Community for individuals and their families through their end-of-life journey.

Lisaard Hospice is a hospice located in Cambridge, Ontario that offers palliative care and support for the Cambridge Community for individuals and their families through their end-of-life journey.

Look Good Feel Better is a national charitable program that provides psychosocial support services, educational programs, and practical support programs to Canadians facing cancer. Their primary focus is on helping people manage the appearance-related effects of cancer and its treatment.

The Ontario Caregiver Organization provides a range of support programs, services, and resources to assist caregivers throughout Ontario.

Ontario Health atHome is an organization that coordinates local home and community care, long-term care placement and helps finding services in the community for patients.

OPACC is a registered charity that offers parents in-hospital and virtual peer-to-peer support, community-based parent support groups, and financial support (hospital parking, gift cards, and hospital meal vouchers).

Prostate Cancer Support Group Waterloo-Wellington is a volunteer-based, non-profit prostate cancer support group, for Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and surrounding areas. The group is run by prostate cancer survivors who help men diagnosed with this disease by offering monthly support meetings and online resources related to prostate cancer.

Rethink Breast Cancer is a Canadian charity that educates, empowers and advocates for system changes to improve the experience and outcomes of those with breast cancer, focusing on historically underserved groups: women diagnosed at a younger age, those with metastatic breast cancer and people systemically marginalized due to other factors within the social determinants of health.

The Waterloo Region Myeloma Support Group is a support group that helps newly diagnosed myeloma patients and those already living with myeloma, including family and friends with mutual support, encouragement, and education, sharing information and experiences about how to cope with the disease and the various treatments. The group serves Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, and surrounding communities.

TorchLight is a support centre that provides telephone-based listening, support, referral, and crisis assistance (24/7) by trained staff and volunteers for Guelph, Wellington, Dufferin, and Orangeville.

WWSMP helps coordinate self-management programs that support individuals and their caregivers in the region living with or at risk of developing chronic diseases. The programs include providing self-management support training, education and mentoring to healthcare providers.

Woolwich Community Health Centre provides primary health care to registered clients of Woolwich Community Health Centre. These health care areas address acute and chronic health needs, preventive care, rehabilitative care and palliative care.

CCO is the Ontario government’s principal advisor on the cancer and renal systems, as well as on access to care for key health services.
They provide tools, resources and evidence-based data to help their healthcare partners improve the delivery of cancer care.

WWRCP is a network made up of healthcare professionals and hospitals that provide cancer care across Waterloo Region, Wellington County and the southern portion of Grey County.

The WOH program provides people living with cancer rides to and from their cancer treatment appointments. Dedicated volunteer drivers donate their time and use their own (or Society owned) vehicles to help people living with cancer get to the hospital or cancer centre.

Grand River Transit MobilityPLUS uses small bus-style vehicles to transport people with impaired mobility. People registered with MobilityPLUS can book rides in advance anywhere within the city limits of Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo.

Hope Air provides non-emergency medical flights for Canadians in rural or remote areas in financial need.

Just Call Lynda is a Senior Transportation Service, that helps Senior Citizens with their daily outings. Taking them to appointments, grocery shopping, day programs, and more.

Meals and Wheels is a food delivery service provider that is run by Community Support Connections. They provide fresh, healthy and nutritional meals to people from Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge.

The Food Bank of Waterloo Region functions as a distribution centre, distributing food to the Cambridge Food Bank and Community Food Assistance Network. They provide food hampers, community meals, nutritional outreach, and shelters and residential meals to the Waterloo Region.

Rebuild Fitness and Physiotherapy provides one-on-one performance-based physiotherapy and massage therapy sessions to help patients recovering from a new or old injury, surgery, or dealing with a chronic health condition. They are located in Cambridge, Ontario.
UW WELL-FIT is a portfolio of evidence-based exercise programs developed at the University of Waterloo for individuals who are currently or have previously undergone treatment (chemotherapy, radiation, hormone therapy, surgery) for various types of cancers.
Financial Resource Description
The Canada caregiver credit (CCC) is a non-refundable tax credit that is available to spouses or common-law partners, or a dependant with a physical or mental impairment. The amount an individual can claim depends on their relationship to the person they are claiming the CCC for, their circumstances, the individuals’ net income, and whether other credits are being claimed for that individual.
The Canada Pension Plan (CPP) disability benefit is a monthly payment individuals can get if they are unable to work because of a disability.
The disability tax credit (DTC) is a non-refundable tax credit that helps people with disabilities, or their supporting family member, reduce the amount of income tax they may have to pay.
EI caregiving benefits provide financial assistance to individuals who are away from work to care for or support a critically ill or injured person or someone needing end-of-life care. Caregivers don’t have to be related to or live with the person they care for or support, but they must consider the person to be like a family member.
List of medical expenses you can claim on your Canadian tax return. They come in two tax lines. Line 33099 – Medical expenses for self, spouse or common-law partner, and your dependant children under 18. Line 33199 – Allowable amount of medical expenses for other dependants.
ODSP is a government-funded last resort income support paid for qualifying residents in the province of Ontario, Canada, who are at least eighteen years of age and have a disability. The program provides money to help individuals with disabilities and their family members with living expenses, including food, and rent. Indigenous Cancer Supports Description Contact Information
Canadian Cancer Society’s resources page for Indigenous people in Canada facing cancer.
The Indigenous Cancer Care Program is provided by Hamilton Health Sciences to help Indigenous people from the counties of Brant, Burlington, Haldimand, Hamilton, Niagara and Norfolk with cancer services. The Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant (HNHB) Regional Cancer Program (RCP) oversees the delivery of all the cancer services.
Indigenous Navigators are individuals from Cancer Care Ontario that provide support and advocacy for First Nations, Inuit, Métis and urban Indigenous cancer patients and families that live throughout Canada.

Scholarship Description
Childhood Cancer Canada’s Survivor Scholarship Program is a scholarship opportunity for Canadians who are childhood cancer survivors and are looking to attend a college, university, or vocational training program in Canada or the United States. The applicants receive a one-time grant of up to $5000 to support their post-secondary expenses.
OPACC has a list of scholarships that student cancer survivors can apply for (application requirements vary by scholarship).

Astra Fertility Group participates in the Ontario Fertility Program. The program allows patients to freeze their sperm and eggs free of charge. The fertility preservation is designed to guard against the impact of cancer treatment and, age (more in case of females) on egg and sperm production and their reproductive potential.

Indigenous Tobacco Program is an Ontario smoking cessation program ran by Ontario Health that respectfully informs First Nations, Inuit, Métis and urban Indigenous communities and individuals about the negative health impacts of commercial tobacco. They use positive approaches to addressing post-colonial tobacco use and work with communities to help raise awareness of the risks of commercial tobacco and the dangers of the tobacco industries’ targeted marketing campaigns, particularly to youth.
