What is cancer care counselling
HopeSpring aims to make the process of receiving counselling as seamless and comfortable as possible for our members. If there is anything at all we can do to better accommodate you during the process, let us know, and we will do our best to make those accommodations.
Cancer Care Counselling plays a pivotal role in supporting individuals and their families throughout their cancer journey. Our counselling services are designed to provide emotional, mental, and psychological support, offering guidance and strategies to navigate the challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis.
For those under 12 years of age, a parent must attend the initial consult. All guardians must consent.
For those aged 12 to 18 years of age. Individuals provide their own consent.

Counselling offers a safe space for emotional expression and support, helping individuals manage stress, anxiety, and depression commonly associated with cancer treatment. Additionally, it aims to improve overall well-being and enhance coping mechanisms during this challenging period.

Submit a request for counselling
Choose a type of counselling, then submit your request.
Book an appointment
Interfaith Counselling Centre will reach out to you in order to match you with one of our professional counsellors.
Confidentiality & consent
ICC will next send you a counselling consent form outlining important information about confidentiality and cancer care counselling services.
Counselling sessions
You will then meet your counsellor, who will help you focus on your goals as well as determine how many sessions you may need and whether you would rather have online or in-person sessions.
Ending counselling
Once you and your counsellor feel that you have reached your goal for counselling, your counsellor will make sure you have a plan for continued support at HopeSpring.
